Video: Navo-at-a-Glance: Data Display

In this video, we’re going to learn about the parts of a Navo data display - the bottom two thirds or more of the Navo Window.

As you can see, on the left, in this blue-headered column, we have Subregion. That’s our Dimension Column. See the tutorial on “What is a Dimension?” to understand what that means.

To the right of that we have a special “Expandable Column” that, if we click on it, lets us see our Dimension Counts. These are all of my other dimensions, and the number for each row is the number of unique values for that dimension for that value of Subregion.

These Dimension Counts, or “dimcounts” for short, will come in very handy later. But for right now they’re kinda in the way of me showing you what I’d like to show you. So, to get rid of those - or hide them briefly - I’m gonna again click on the column header.

Those columns go away, and now we can see our Summaries. These are things that we’re adding up. In this case, Cases, Cost, and Revenue. Those have Green column headers.

And that’s it! Other display types like Multitabs may have more than one Dimension column, while Crosstabs add different ways of looking at Summaries. If you’re interested, check out our tutorials on Adding Dimensions and Crosstabs. Thanks for watching!
