Using Cumulative Columns to Rank Values

In ProDiver 6.x, a simple cumulative column can be used to create a column of sequential numbers that is used to rank column values. This column is autonomous and is unaffected by changes in other columns such as a sort, find, or focus operation.

Changes in ProDiver 7.x caused the cumulative column to become associated with other column values. Therefore, changes to other columns can affect the numbers in the cumulative column.

As of version 7.1(14), Spectre has been adjusted to mimic the old behavior.

NOTE: Due to this behavioral change, any use of the ProDiver cumulative logic should be reviewed when upgrading software.

Caution is advised when converting markers from 6.x to version 7.x if cumulative columns are involved. If you have questions or concerns, contact Support.
